Has anyone ever came across feeling not breathless as such but ever so slightly when breathing out? I am on 20mg methotrexate weekly and 200mg hydroxychcloroquine daily. Could the drugs be causing it?

Hi,

I'm too on 20mg methotrexate and take 200mg twice a day of Hydroxychloroquine tablets. I get breathless a little and have to slow down and take deep breaths as if I'm anxious. With this hot weather I feel this happens more often!

Sorry forgot to add not sure if drugs but I have become sun sensitive with the methotrexate and I have a feeling of pins and needles tingling on my arms after I've been in the sun :-(

Hi Louise - one of the warnings for mtx is not to sit in the sun. Please make sure you are covered up when out as it does cause problems. Xx

hi guys, I am on 25 mtx and 200 hydroxy 2 a day and yes I get breathless for no reason sometimes, the mtx is scary stuff,i get sores that just appear but I am told its eczema (yeh right)it is on my opinion down to immune system down ie mtx also as jean says watch the sun,i got caught out 2/3 years ago I only hung out the washing and really suffered so now I use a factor 50+ the nivia kids as it goes on green but dries clear that way I know if I miss a bit, dorothy

Thanks to you all for your replies - it must be the drugs and also the skin sensitivity to the sun is quite scary even with a high factor on.

Enjoy your day.

Hi,

Yes I'm not sitting in the sun anymore I head for the shade! I joked with my Mum that as I'm sensitive to the sun it will be a record breaking summer..... True at the moment, lol
